Shiva Shakti Restorative Yoga class, shared Kai and KIRTAN at OXFORD

  • Cindy Saunders 789 Woodstock Road, Burnt Hill Road Oxford, Canterbury New Zealand (map)

Blessings Beloved, from Cindy!

I’m feeling inspired!   The Goddess energy is stiring within to share practice with you!

Date: ~ 4pm Saturday 30th November!

We will be creating a container of śiva consciousness within.  Shiva is stillness, or conscious awareness.  That which holds it all.   .

You will be led into a restorative yoga asana practice accessing a ‘bhava’  (dwelling in a positive state of being).   This can be a powerful meditative practice.

Out of Shiva, Shakti moves.  Shakti is the creation and movement within the stillness.  We will invoke the Goddess energy within, moving the body to activate the Shakti energy flow.

Together Shiva and Shakti are the dance of life!

You are invited to join after the practice for a community pot luck dinner to celebrate the dance of life with Kirtan lead by myself and Sukhaprada (Lucy).  Be uplifted and unified in the practice of call and response mantra.

The schedule

"It was found that during repetitive singing of kirtan,

the brain registers the sound waves, nada,

which influence all other wave patterns of the brain.

These waves awaken alpha rhythms which immediately induce tranquility.

Thus by singing kirtan, we experience peace of mind."

Swami Satyananda Saraswati
