The practice invites connection with the wisdom of the body mind to unfold the practice that is appropriate for each one of us.
There is encouragement to remain in touch with the body and the breath to help release deep and surface tensions of the body mind system through simple powerful restorative practices.
These practices of yoga asanas (comfortable, steady well supported postures), conscious breathing pranayama and deep relaxation or meditation allow participants to apply the yogic art of witnessing the experience of life, as it is. This brings depth to the practice of yoga that goes well beyond the weekly class.
Regular participation will support healthy patterns of sleeping, expand vitality and connection with peace, cheerfulness, balance and good concentration, nurturing well-being of body, mind and spirit.
Classes are based at Southshore.
Contribution: $160 for 8 weeks or $25 per session (as space allows) or by koha (to uplift the wellbeing of the community) or by other agreement with Atmavidya.
